The Last Year to Join British Pop Sensation Neon Hitch for Special Show in Charlotte

Female-fronted alternative rock band The Last Year, whose debut single “Sugar” is currently being spun at more than 14 radio stations across the U.S. including WEND in Charlotte, will be joining British pop sensation Neon Hitch on tour this fall and they are hitting Double Door Inn in Charlotte, NC on November 1.
The brainchild of lead singer Niki Barr and bassist Scott Ensign, this Baltimore-based band will be joining Neon Hitch on tour for a run of dates that will take them from New York to North Carolina.
However, having toured over 30 countries on three continents, Barr and Ensign are no strangers to the stage. In fact, they have performed 12 international tours with Armed Forces Entertainment in five years performing for the US Troops in the Middle East, Japan, UK, and many other countries throughout Europe and Southeast Asia.

The Last Year recently teamed up with Shanachie Entertainment in order to release a brand-new EP of new material. Describing the new release as “limitless” with “everything from buzz saw synth to airy atmospheric ambience to 80s drum sequence loops”, the group says that their latest songs come from the dark place Barr is almost known for and showcase the band’s perfect blend of natural and synthetic sounds.
Today, the group is currently promoting their self-titled, new release and their single “Sugar” amassing a huge fan base wherever they go thanks to Barr’s energizing stage presence and coy airy vocals that she expertly transforms into melodic rock rhythms. Her band flawlessly backs her up with its perfectly executed performances that only a group that has toured together for so long can do.
