Methodist University goes Green and Gold on Fridays

Don't forget to show your school spirit today

Students, faculty, and staff at Methodist University are gearing up their school spirit by wearing green and gold on Fridays.

“We picked Fridays because that’s the end of the week and [wearing] green and gold puts a little pizzazz into it,” said Dee Dee Jarman, Associate Director of Athletics.

Green and Gold Friday will unite the students, departments, and staff at Methodist University by blending them together in green and gold attire.

Some of the various departments at Methodist, like the admissions office and the PGA program, have casual Friday where they dress in Methodist University attire, instead of a suit and tie.

Several elementary and high schools in the Fayetteville area have a “show your school spirit” Friday, in which students and faculty wear special apparel for their individual schools.

Green and Gold Friday is an effort to expand that idea and ultimately join Methodist as a community. Methodist’s athletic department is spearheading the idea and hopes that it will also help promote games held at the university on the weekends.
