Military discounts for vacation destinations
Take advantage of special military rates for families and plan your vacation ahead to reap the savings.
Fort Bragg's MWR Leisure Travel Services offers a host of vacation ideas with deeply discounted tickets. Their office located inside the AAFES Mini Mall is only open during the week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed on President's Day.
A price list and ticket venues can be found online. Friday, Feb. 24 is Leisure Travel Services 20th Annual Travel Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort Bragg Club. The event is free and open to the public and door prizes will be awarded. Shop ideas before spring break and summer to see what representatives from hotels, airlines, cruise lines and national attractions have to offer.Â
An offer extended to September 2012 are discounted park tickets for the military to Walt Disney World and Disney Land Resorts. Another offer includes Sea World and Bush Gardens Hero Salute.

Our family just took advantage of the military special offers at the Nickelodean Suites Resorts, in Orlando. Treat the kids to a few nights in the unique Nickelodeon-themed KidSuites while you relax in a private master bedrooms for the parents.
The highlight was the resort's two heated water parks - Lagoon Pool and Oasis Pool, with 13 slides and flumes, interactive water towers, poolside games and activities, private cabanas and daily poolside shows complete with green slime.

As part of the 'Welcome Home' redeployment package, our two bedroom suite cost only $65 per night before taxes, which is great because the pool drinks will set you back some Benjamin's, but it's vacation. Cheers.
