Calling all students and families considering a service academy education

If you or your student wondered about the academic admission and application process for military academies are you don't want to miss this special one day information session in Fayetteville.
On Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, Senator Kay R. Hagan invites all North Carolina 7th through 12th grade students to attend this question and answer briefing.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the program begins at 10:30 a.m. Students that apply to service academies require a nomination from a member of Congress. The event gives students an opportunity to hear about the nomination process through Hagan's office.
The U.S. Military Academy, more commonly known as West Point, has an informative web page to answer your basic admission questions.West Point has been acknowledged on Forbes.com pronouncing U.S.M.A. as the Best Public College or University in America for undergraduate education, U.S. News and World Report calling them the Best Public Liberal Arts College in the country, and the Princeton Review designating the Academy as one of the 100 Best Value Colleges for 2009.
