Pies are in stock at Great Harvest Bread Co.

From pre-orders to walk-in customers, they want to help you with your cooking.

The Great Harvest Bread Co. has been cooking up a storm for its Thanksgiving week rush.Their most popular pie orders have been for apple crunch, pumpkin and pecan pies. Other pie choices include strawberry rhubarb, sweet potato and pumpkin oh's.

"200 pies will be picked up on Wednesday alone, for those who planned ahead," said employee Jill O'Brien.

O'Brien was busy dicing onions for Great Harvest's Stuffing bread, a soft bread with celery, onions and herbs. She said customers use it for their stuffing and leftover turkey sandwiches as well.

Have a houseful of guests? Forego a traditional breakfast and work by picking up their sinful apple scrapple, cranberry orange bread, bread pudding, muffins in all varieties and scones.

Samples are on hand to try some different flavored breads. Flavored butters and cream cheeses are prepared in store to accompany their homebaked breads and goodies.

Great Harvest Bread Co. on Raeford Road puts out a monthly menu of their weekly bread specialties they bake fresh.

Make your plans now, they will be closed from Thanksgiving day through Sun., Nov. 27.  They reopen on Monday, Nov. 28 and will be back to making your lunch time sandwiches and salads again. Check out their menu at greatharvestbreadfayetteville.com
