“John
and I are honored to present at this month’s SMTA chapter event,” says Anuva Manufacturing
Services’ Mr. Davis. “We look forward to networking and sharing our best
practices with this prestigious group of professionals.”

Mr.
Davis has more than 30 years of
broad-ranging experience in all facets of electronic manufacturing. Throughout
his career with Dictaphone Corp., Mr. Davis held various leadership roles in
quality, engineering, and operations, including leading the operation when it
was one of the Top 100 Contract Manufacturers worldwide. During this time,
Jim developed a keen understanding of the OEM/Contract Manufacturer
relationship as Dictaphone was both and OEM and a CM. Mr. Davis currently leads
the Anuva Manufacturing Services operation in Melbourne, FL. Mr. Davis is a
strong believer that, through proper design and management, most products can
be competitively launched and produced domestically with a faster
time-to-market, lower cost-to-market, and higher levels of quality and customer
satisfaction. Mr. Davis has had many “best practices” articles published
and served on a variety of boards aimed at entrepreneurship and the high-tech
sector. Mr. Davis earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Florida
Tech.

Mr. Popow co-founded TriE
Medical in 2002 to support startups and large corporations both domestically
and internationally in medical device development. TriE Medical provides device
development support from product conception to market entry including: technology
evaluation, turnkey product development, device testing, feasibility studies,
animal and / or clinical studies, documentation to meet 510(k), IDE, or PMA
submissions, and manufacturing. Mr. Popow is a veteran medical industry
executive with more than 35 years in the medical device and defense industry.
Prior to TriE Medical, Mr. Popow founded JDP consulting group, which
specialized in consulting to the medical industry in product development and
medical device acquisitions. Mr. Popow pioneered technical development in HIFU
systems for interventional treatment of AMI and Peripheral Ischemia. Mr.
Popow’s consulting group worked with companies such as: ArgoMed, Angiosonics,
Vascular Solutions, Boston Scientific, Tyco, ITT, and Kollmorgan. Mr. Popow holds
multiple patents in areas of ultrasound, delivery systems, dose counters, I2
Systems and Forward looking infrared systems. Mr. Popow has extensive expertise
in supporting clients to ensure their devices are designed to meet compliance
with IEC device safety standards and risk management compliance. Mr. Popow
interfaces directly with the certified labs to ensure successful compliance and
expediting of testing in order to meet regulatory approval.
