Toby Keith Entertained the Troops in Afghanistan on His 10th USO Tour

Red Solo Cups were autographed for service members as they waved them in the crowd during the rendition of the lighthearted song.

The popular country entertainer, Toby Keith, is no stranger serving those who serve. He is on his 10th USO/Armed Forces Entertainment Tour where he performed for the troops at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan on April 29 and more venues are soon to come.

Keith's patriotic inspired tunes laud the service members for their sacrifice and day-to-day job serving our country. There are many more stops on his tour and it is a quite a morale booster to have a night of fun, and to just be appreciated by an award-winning singer and songwriter of his caliber.

Mixing it up with some old favorites along with a few new ones, the crowd got a bit more lively when he pulled out "Red Solo Cup." On the more serious side, the other touching tribute of the evening seemed most fitting when he belted out "American Soldier" to those whom the song was written for - in a tumultuous time and place at that. When the song was first written, the war had just barely kicked off and the scope of the sacrifices to come were unfathomable at the time. Keith's encore was "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue."

"I've met so many great, brave service men and women over the years and had so many wonderful experiences I can barely remember them all," said Keith in a press release. "One thing is for sure, I enjoy working with the USO, I love our nation's troops, and I won't ever stop doing my part to extend my thanks."
