Tomato Tales of Summer

It's that time again when the tomatoes are ripening on the vine. Planting six varieties of tomatoes from Romas to Big Boys, the rain has been plentiful, which means a great harvest this year.

This year I used tips on Pinterest like crushing up egg shells and adding them to the soil to help them thrive. It seems to be working well.

There are also tips for organic solutions for bugs that eat the leaves. By placing 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper in a spray bottle of water, and spritzing the leaves, it seems to have reduced the number of holes in the leaves.

What are your tomato tips?
