TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) Collects 1000 Donated Items for Local Moms
Donations benefit mothers at InterAct, Durham Rescue Mission and Family Abuse Services of Alamance County
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the Triangle’s premiere moving company, today announced its Movers for Moms® campaign gathered 1000 donated items for Triangle moms in need. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country collect donations every spring, last year totaling more than 220,000 donated items, delivered to local women’s and family shelters on Mother’s Day.
Generous individuals at local schools including PreEminent Charter School, apartment complexes and businesses throughout North Carolina in Raleigh, Durham, Holly Springs and Burlington donated new and used items to the cause.
“The Triangle community never fails to show us their caring heart by donating to the hardest working people in our community, mothers,” said Brooke Wilson, franchise co-owner of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Triangle. “Together we were proud to help make Mother’s Day special for moms in our local community who may be facing challenging circumstances.”

Collected donations were distributed to mothers in need on Mother’s Day at Raleigh-based InterAct, Durham Rescue Mission and Family Abuse Services of Alamance County for the benefit of mothers throughout the Triangle and Burlington.
Donations included gently used and new women’s and children’s clothing, books, electronics, kitchenware and furniture as well as new household items including paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, kitchen-size trash bags and more.

The Movers for Moms® campaign kicked off in 2011 and has been helping mothers nationwide ever since. This was the fifth year for the program.
