USASOC Change of Command at Fort Bragg
Both incoming and outgoing leaders were praised at the Meadows Field ceremony.

Lt. Gen. John F. Mulholland Jr. served the USASOC community more than three years as the commanding general before relinquishing his command in Tuesday's ceremony officiated by Gen. Raymond Odierno, the 38th U.S. Army Chief of Staff.
"His unprecedented dedication to our national security over the last 10 years has given vision and direction to a diverse team of professionals," said General Raymond T. Odierno. "I'm personally grateful for your personal sacrifice and dedication to our soldiers."
Other leaders and peers expressed praise for Mulholland and his leadership.

"He demands discipline from his troops so that they can perform beyond expectations in combat and in garrison," said Admiral William H. McRaven , USSOCOM Commander.
"Here's the simple truth, I've had the incredible honor and privilege of commanding the world's finest Special Operations Force," said Lt Gen John Mulholland in his remarks to the force, his family and friends gathered at Meadows Field.
The incoming commander, Lt. Gen Charles Cleveland stated that:
"I commit myself and the command to ensure we continue the progress of the past decade and making the application of Army Special Operations and our conventional forces seamless."

"This is my second time replacing John and I know how hard it is, even more so given his length of service here at USASOC. So I kind of know how John Adams felt when he replaced George Washington," said Cleveland eliciting laughter from the crowd.
