NC Lottery Pick 3 Day, Pick 3 Evening results for Sept. 6, 2026 (shelbystar.com) — If you bought a lottery ticket in Greenville, you can check the Sept. 6 Pick 3, Pick 4, Cash 5, and other winning numbers and then claim prizes up to $99,999 at the Greenville Regional Office on Dickinson Avenue. 3. 19-year-old killed after car crashes into I-587 bridge pillar near Farmville (wcti12.com) — A deadly high-speed crash on I-587 near Farmville killed a 19-year-old driver and forced emergency crews to close eastbound lanes, drawing in Greenville-based medical responders. During the investigation, a second driver allegedly ignored closure warnings and struck a fire engine, injuring a firefighter who was taken to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, where the other driver was also hospitalized.
4. 'We don't choose ... We get assigned': After losing beloved cat, family randomly finds 2 abandoned in park (thecooldown.com) — Among several heartwarming rescue tales, one story spotlights Greenville teens who happened upon a family's missing cat trapped in a storm drain and helped save it. Their quick action is shared alongside other examples of abandoned or lost cats getting second chances, encouraging compassion for pets in tough situations.
5. WARRANTS: Greenville woman arrested after high-speed chase (witn.com) — A Greenville woman is jailed on a high secured bond after warrants allege she fled Farmville police in a stolen SUV, reaching 100 mph on West Wilson Street before crashing and causing property damage. Court documents list multiple charges, including fleeing to elude arrest, larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle, open container, reckless driving and driving with an expired license.
