• Brevard secures funds for construction of final 8 miles of Ecusta Trail (wlos.com) — Hendersonville residents can look forward to a fully connected Ecusta Trail, as Brevard has secured funding to construct its final eight-mile segment of the 19-mile rail-trail. Construction is expected to start in late summer or early fall 2027 and take up to two years, ultimately linking Brevard, Etowah, Horse Shoe, Laurel Park and Hendersonville with a paved, multiuse path.
