Two 14-year-olds face 126 charges each in High Point vehicle break-ins, thefts (abc45.com) — High Point residents are being urged to lock their cars after police linked two 14-year-olds to more than 50 vehicle break-ins and thefts, resulting in 126 charges each. Officers say many targeted vehicles were left unlocked, often with keys inside, especially around northern apartment complexes, and emphasize community vigilance alongside youth outreach efforts.
   

2. Her $1,300 stroller was stolen with her SUV. Days later, she spotted it on Facebook Marketplace and set a trap (upworthy.com) — A High Point mother had her Kia Telluride and pricey Nuna stroller stolen from her driveway, then cleverly used Facebook Marketplace alerts and a spare key to help police recover the SUV. Her quick thinking and coordination with officers highlight both local car-theft risks and how fast reporting can boost recovery odds for stolen vehicles.
   

3. Davidson County task force ends narcotics probe into Jason Jerome Cobb, aided by High Point police (abc45.com) — High Point police helped a regional task force seize nearly 200 grams of fentanyl during coordinated searches, including one at a home on East Green Street in the city. A 35-year-old Asheboro man now faces multiple trafficking and weapons charges, with upcoming court dates in both Randolph and Guilford counties tied to the investigation.
   

4. Passengers can skip the car with NC By Train's new pass (wxii12.com) — High Point riders using NC By Train can now add a free Rail & Ride pass to connect directly with the High Point Transit System and other local buses after stepping off the train. By requesting a code online and redeeming it in transit apps, residents can more easily reach jobs, appointments, and events without needing a car.
