5 Fun Things To Do This Weekend In Lake Norman: Oct. 20-22

Autumn is in full swing this weekend in Lake Norman, as area pumpkin patches and farms ramp up seasonal activities. If you’re looking for something fun this weekend, Patch has you covered.

  • Halloween in Huntersville & Fireworks Spooktacular -- Costumed revelers descend on Rural Hill for a day of family fun that includes live music, bounce houses, a magician, airbrush tattoos, Halloween crafts, and food trucks and vendors, and fireworks. Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville. Saturday, Oct. 21, 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • All Hallows Eve Family Day at Historic Latta Plantation -- Dress up in your best costumes, pack a picnic and tour historic Latta Plantation. Costume contests at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Latta Plantation, 5225 Sample Road, Huntersville. Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Paranormal Grounds Investigation at Historic Rosedale Plantation, 3427 North Tryon Street, Charlotte. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21.
  • Music at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church -- The Bach Akademie of Charlotte performs J.S. Bach’s “Ein Feste Burg” cantata and the “Der Geist Hilift” motet. St. Alban’s Episcpal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane, Davidson. Sunday, Oct., 22, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone -- The Charlotte Symphony will delight muggles and wizards alike by playing the score during this beloved first film of the series. Ovens Auditorium, Charlotte. Oct. 20-23, 7:30 p.m.
