• Huntersville man charged with murder after wife dies from strangulation, police say (wbtv.com) — Huntersville police say a 66-year-old local man has been charged with second-degree murder after his wife died following an alleged strangulation at their McGinnis Lane home. Officers responded on September 22, and the charge was upgraded after the victim died in the hospital on October 1. Investigators are still piecing together what led to the assault and are asking residents for tips.
