CATS Hosting Virtual Community Meeting February 4th at 5:30pm for New Hambright Park and Ride
CATS Hambright Park and Ride Community Meeting:
As part of their mission to provide reliable transit and mobility options to the region, CATS continues to work towards the goals of our 2030 Transit Corridor System Plan.
CATS recently began planning for the Hambright Road Park and Ride project at 11100 Hambright Road. This future park and ride facility will provide rapid transit services to Mecklenburg County's North Corridor and will serve Huntersville and the surrounding areas. The Hambright Park and Ride will consist of 500 + surface parking; benches, lighting, security features and other passenger comforts; landscaping; bicycle and pedestrian amenities and a mobility hub of ridesharing options.

As part of the environmental study into this project, an archaeological survey was performed in the area in August. A report with the results was submitted to the Federal Transit Administration and North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office. With their approval, Phase 1 environmental work will be complete.
CATS is holding a neighborhood meeting to present this project and get feedback about desires for a transit-oriented park and ride development.
