Chesterbrook Academy Preschool Donates to Local Soup Kitchen

Students hosted a food drive and delivered nonperishable items to Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen

On Nov. 25, students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Huntersville visited Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen to deliver a donation of more than 160 nonperishable food items. Over the past month, students worked together to collect a variety of items to benefit local families in need. At the close of the drive, students delivered the donations to the soup kitchen, where they also toured the facility and learned how their contributions will help the community. This is the eighth year Chesterbrook Academy has worked with Angels and Sparrows to help keep its kitchen shelves stocked. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.

Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen starts with a nourishing meal, served with dignity and fosters community and a path to hope for those facing hunger in their daily lives through our programs, celebrations and experiences – transforming daily interactions into personal connections and a sense of belonging.
