Rain Is Coming To Huntersville: Weekend Forecast

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Ghouls and goblins heading out for trick or treating Wednesday will have a pleasant night of candy collecting ahead of them. All that, however, is set to change Thursday, when rain moves into the region, according to the National Weather Service.

The pleasantness of Wednesday’s sunny skies and high of 72 will continue into the evening, with temperatures dipping only to about 57 degrees.

Early Thursday, however, showers begin to move into the region, cooling off the high to 64. Rain continues through Friday.

“The potential exists for one or two of the thunderstorms to get strong enough to produce damaging wind gusts on Friday afternoon and into the early evening,” the National Weather Service said in a weather bulletin.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. South southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. South southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday (Nov. 2)
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 71. South southwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
