HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- If you hear a loud piercing screech of Duke Energy nuclear sirens Wednesday in Huntersville, do not be alarmed. Duke Energy is conducting a quarterly test of McGuire Nuclear sirens to make sure they're operating properly.
The test will begin Wednesday, July 11 at 11:50 a.m. and will last about 10 minutes, according to the Huntersville Fire Department.
