Famous Toastery, Wendy's, Pangea: New Huntersville Health Grades

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Recent kitchen inspections at a Charlotte-area restaurant found 10 health violations, which dropped its health score to a "B," according to Mecklenburg County public health officials. Three Huntersville restaurants were inspected and all retained their "A" health grades.

Here are the Huntersville restaurants recently inspected:

• Famous Toastery, 12715 Conner Drive, Huntersville — 91.5/ A
• Pangea Tapas Bar & Grill, 13016 Eastfield Drive — 94/ A
• Wendy’s, 14139 Statesville Road, Huntersville — 96/ A

County health officials recently inspected 88 restaurants in the Charlotte-metro area. Of those restaurants, Morazan Restaurant, 201 Archdale Drive received “B” health grades.

An inspection at Morazan documented 10 violations, including employee drinks sitting in food prep areas, employees coming in through the back door and begin food preparation without washing their hands and several food items, including ceviche, kept at improper temperatures.
