Heavy Rain Expected Through Friday: Huntersville Forecast

The region will get a thorough drenching thanks to heavy rain through Friday. Here's what you can expect from the forecast by Christmas.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The week is wrapping up with thoroughly soggy weather in the Charlotte-metro and Lake Norman regions as heavy rains are expected to hover over the state through Friday.

“Creeks and streams are likely to rise gradually with this rainfall, and may rise out of their banks in a few spots,” the National Weather Service said Thursday morning in a hazardous weather outlook bulletin.

By the weekend, however, things will drastically improve, according to the forecast. Sunny skies will emerge on Saturday and stick around through Christmas day.
