Police Ask For Help IDing Suspects After Guns Stolen From Cars
At least eight unlocked cars were broken into in Huntersville over the weekend and thieves got at least two guns, according to police.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville Police are urging residents to remove valuables — in particular, firearms — and lock vehicles at night after at least eight unlocked cars were broken into over the weekend. At least two guns were stolen from unlocked vehicles during the spree.
“[T]hose were just the ones that were reported to us,” HPD said. “We say ‘broken into’ as there was no actual ‘breaking’ going on because all the vehicles were unlocked.”
The incidents occurred around the Blossom Hill Drive and Rosewood Meadow Lane area off Reese Boulevard, police said.
HPD released security video of four suspects casing a vehicle and walking down the street.
