Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Fleeing Huntersville Police
Brett Martin, 33, led cops on a chase after stealing a car from a Huntersville Circle K, police said.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A man wanted for armed robbery and carjacking at Circle K on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville was arrested after a dramatic attempt to flee police that led to a foot chase.
According to Huntersville Police Department, the Sept. 1 robbery occurred at the Circle K convenience store located a 9101 Sam Furr Road.
“When Officers arrived, they located the suspect, who fled in the vehicle, at which time a vehicle pursuit ensued,” HPD said.

The suspect, who has been identified as Brett Tyler Martin, 33, was driving at an “extremely high rate of speed,” and would not stop for officers, who stopped pursuing him out of concern for the risk posed to the motoring public, HPD said.
