Extensive Damage Reported In Huntersville Outbuilding Fire

Firefighters from two Huntersville fire stations responded to the Wednesday night blaze that started in an outbuilding.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Firefighters from two stations in Huntersville battled a heavy blaze in an outbuilding in a neighborhood off McCoy Road, Huntersville Fire Department said Wednesday evening.

The blaze, located in a workshop in the 9400 block of Rollingwood Drive, prompted fire officials to urge the public to avoid the area while crews work to put it out.

“No one was in the outbuilding at the time of the fire,” HFD said in a tweet.

The fire was contained to the outbuilding and a garage and no homes were damaged, although there was extensive loss and damage to the buildings involved, according to HFD.
