Huntersville Forecast: Sunny, Then Potentially Stormy This Week

Find out when sunny skies will cloud up with a chance of rain this work week in the Charlotte metro region.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The work week is off to a sunny start with mild temperatures in the Charlotte metro region. But it’s summer, so it comes as little surprise that the chance for thunderstorms creeps back into the forecast before the end of the week.

There's no rain in the forecast at all for Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. By Wednesday evening, however, conditions change with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will range from 87 to 92 those days.

The threat of rain continues Thursday, then picks up again Saturday through Sunday, with a 30 percent chance of rain each of those days. Friday will be mostly sunny, according to NWS, with a delightful temperature high of 88 expected.

Weather conditions in the region will be relatively calm in comparison to those along the North Carolina coast this week. Tropical Storm Chris continues to churn off the coast of the state and is expected to become a hurricane Monday before it meanders northeast, according to forecasters. While the storm isn't expected to make direct landfall in the Tar Heel State, outer rain and wind bands of up to 20 miles per hour are anticipated in the Outer Banks through Tuesday.
