Huntersville Forecast: Will It Rain On Father’s Day?

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Rain creeps back into the Huntersville forecast this week, as temperatures continue to climb, according to the National Weather Service.

The start of the work week comes with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening, followed by a chance of showers every afternoon through Friday.

While clouds will fill the skyline this week, they’ll do little to help with the heat. Monday is expected to reach 90 degrees, with temperatures expected to rise to at least 92 by Thursday. By Father’s Day on Sunday, however, the temperatures will drop slightly to a balmy 88 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain.

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 90. West wind 3 to 6 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday (June 12)
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 91.
