Huntersville Grapples With Trash Collection Snow Delays

Trash collection has been delayed in Huntersville as the region digs out from this week's storm. Here's when you can expect pick up.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Yard waste and recycling collection in Huntersville will be delayed as the town grapples with catching up with trash collection after this week’s snow storm, according to officials.

Severe weather prevented curbside collection of trash for most of the week in the Town of Huntersville as about 6 inches of snow fell across the region.

“In an effort to catch up, a decision has been made to suspend the collection of yard waste and recycling for the remainder of the week,” the town said in a notice. “The priority for the remainder of the week will be recovering household garbage.”
