Huntersville Home Robbed At Gunpoint By Masked Suspect

Police say the home was occupied when the suspect, who was wearing a ski mask, broke in and took money Thursday morning.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Huntersville home reported Thursday morning in the Stevens Grove neighborhood near Richard Berry Park that left a victim injured.

The victim told responding officers the suspect broke into the home in the 6000 block of Glengarrie Lane around 10:30 a.m. and was brandishing a handgun. The suspect took money from the victim, who also suffered minor injuries due to a fall during the incident.

The suspect was described as having a thin build and was wearing a black ski mask.

Earlier Thursday, schools near the neighborhood were put on lockdown. “Officers are still actively investigating at this time,” HPD said. “There is no danger to the community.
