HUNTERSVILLE, NC — An intoxicated Huntersville man was arrested at an area gas station and charged with a list of drug-related offenses this week after a string of events that began when he got into an argument with a clerk refusing to sell him more alcohol, and he spit on a customer, according to Huntersville Police Department.

When officers responded to the gas station to deal with the disturbance, they found Wyatt Sutherland, 27, in the driver seat of a vehicle rolling what appeared to be a joint, HPD said.

Sutherland refused to comply with the officers’ commands “and was subsequently tased,” HPD said.
