Huntersville Mother’s Day Forecast: Here’s When To Expect Rain
Huntersville could see strong pop-up thunderstorms early this week, according to forecasters.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The gorgeous spate of weather could very well change in Huntersville today, according to national forecasters, who warn that strong storms moving through the region could bring hail and damaging winds.
“Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening across the region, beginning over the mountains around midday and then expanding east of the Blue Ridge in the late afternoon,” the National Weather Service said Monday morning in a hazardous weather bulletin. “Cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and brief heavy downpours will be the main threats. One or two storms might become strong enough to produce large hail and damaging wind gusts. The storms should weaken late this evening.”
Tuesday, however, conditions improve with sunny skies predicted through Wednesday. The risk of rain returns to the forecast Thursday and again on Saturday, when there’s a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms each day.
