Huntersville Police Officer Involved in Friday Morning Wreck

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- A Huntersville Police officer and a driver of another vehicle were both taken to an area hospital Friday morning after their vehicles collided in an intersection near Richard Barry Park, according to a local report.

The accident, the cause of which has not yet been released, occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the intersection of Beatties Ford and Bud Henderson Roads, WSOC reported.

Neither the officer, nor the driver of the other vehicle had life-threatening injuries, the station reported.
