Huntersville Weekend Events: Tree Lighting, Candlelight Christmas
This weekend, Huntersville will be full of holiday cheer. Here are some of the top things going on around town.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit this weekend, Huntersville has plenty of options. We’ve got a list of highlights for you.
Clouds and cooler temperatures will move into the Charlotte region this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. With the clouds also comes a slight chance of rain Thursday night. While temperatures will stay in the mid-60s Thursday and Friday, the high on Saturday is expected to be in the mid-50s. Lows over the weekend will be in the low 40s.

Here are some of the top events in the Huntersville area this weekend:
- Town Center Tree Lighting -- Festive activities include photos with Santa in front of the tree, a bounce house, live music and an ice sculpture performance. Huntersville Downtown, Friday, Dec. 1. 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- A Huntersville Christmas -- Festivities continue in Downtown Huntersville with Carolers of Christmas Past, Live Nativity, letters to Santa, jugglers and more. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- Candlelight Christmas -- Explore Historic Latta Plantation by candlelight and enjoy holiday celebration vignettes. Historic Latta Plantation, 5225 Sample Road, Huntersville. Saturday, Dec. 2, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Christmas in Cornelius -- Enjoy an afternoon of music, carolers, food trucks, Santa and more. Sunday, Dec. 3, Noon - 6 p.m.
- The Little Baker Grand Opening -- Pregame your holiday baked goods at Cornelius’ newest bakery. 20052 Zion Ave., Saturday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
