Huntersville's Week Ahead Weather: Another Hot Week Ahead

It's going to be another hot week in Huntersville. Warm temperatures and clear skies will stick around through the weekend.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- It’s going to be another warm week with clear skies in the Lake Norman region, according to National Weather Service forecasters.

While the Charlotte-metro region is on track to enjoy plenty of sunny skies this week, it’s a vastly different story elsewhere in the state. North Carolina’s coast was put under a tropical storm warning Monday morning as Hurricane Maria barreled north through the Atlantic. As of 8 a.m. Sept. 25, the center of the storm packing winds of about 75 mph was about 335 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras and moving north at about 7 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Highs in the Lake Norman region this week will stay in the high 80s, with overnight lows in the mid to high 60s. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news in Huntersville — or other neighborhoods. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)
