March 21 was French Bread Day. Yelp says these bakeries are your best bets for finding delicious bread in the Lake Norman region.

You don’t have to be a Francophile to understand that bread is a really big deal in France. It as such a big deal, in fact, bread riots by hungry French peasants led to the storming of the Bastille in 1789, giving rise to the French Revolution.

March 21 was French bread day, but why celebrate it only on one day? There’s no need for riot gear as you make a plan for tracking down the best crusty, chewy loaf and confections in the area. According to Yelp users, these are the best bread and pastry bakeries in the Lake Norman region.
