Labor Day marks the end of the summer for most of America but around Huntersville, it's just another reason to get outside.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Labor Day marks the end of the summer for most of America but around Huntersville, it's just another reason to get outside, enjoy the weather, take in some live music and fire up the grill one more time. There will be plenty of fun events to check out around the Lake Norman area.

Here are five events to check out near Huntersville this Labor Day weekend:

  • HHG Family Fun Night — Friday, Aug. 31, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Hunter House & Gardens, 412 S. Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville
  • Growers' Market — Saturday, Sept. 1, 8 a.m. - noon. 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville.
  • Evan Button at Primal Brewery — Saturday, Sept. 1, Primal Brewery, 16432 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville.
  • Sunday Jazz — Sunday, Sept. 2, 2 p.m. Corkscrew Birkdale, 16916 Birkdale commons Parkway, Huntersville.
  • Pedal in the Park — Monday, Sept. 3, 7 a.m. The Park, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville.
