HUNTERSVILLE, NC — From a lobster festival to outdoor jazz and a kids triathlon, there are plenty of fun events happening around Huntersville this weekend. If you're looking for something to do, Patch has you covered.

Here are five events to check out in Huntersville this weekend:

  • Summer Jazz Series: Groove Masters Band — Friday, July 13, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Birkdale Village, 8712 Lindholm Drive, Huntersville. Say organizers: “Bring your lawn chairs ,and cooler to enjoy this outdoors family fun entertainment with Groove Masters band
  • Mingling on the Greens — Saturday, July 14, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Birkdale Village, 8712 Lindholm Drive, Huntersville.
  • Stand-up Paddleboarding on Mountain Island Lake — Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., Latta Plantation Nature Center, 6211 Sample Road, Huntersville. Say organizers: “Jump into a new adventure and learn how to Stand-up Paddleboard while exploring the beauty of Mountain Island Lake! Learn the strokes, maneuvers and rescue techniques of SUP's with our ACA (American canoe Association) Certified Instructors. All equipment provided!”
  • Lobster Fest — Saturday, July 14, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Hunter House & Gardens, 412 S. Old Statesville Road, Huntersville. Say organizers: “Experience ‘The Garden’ and sip on our signature craft cocktails including the ‘Lobster Tail’ and ‘Lobster Catcher’ while enjoying our live music. George Banda will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m. playing a variety of song styles from smoky blues, to bluegrass, and country.”
  • Kids’ Triathlon — Sunday, July 15, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics, 11725 Verhoeff Dr., Huntersville. This is the final HFFA Kid Tri of 2018! Ages 4-16 welcome.
