Man Shot Dead Overnight In Homicide Near Birkdale

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- A man was shot and killed in an apartment complex near Birkdale Village Monday night in what Huntersville Police say is a case of homicide.

The incident occurred near Northstar Drive in The Landings apartment complex around 10 p.m., and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics, according to numerous reports.

According to WSOC, a second person on the scene was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, and a third person was questioned.
