National Night Out 2019: Huntersville Event Details
Huntersville will hold its National Night Out event Aug. 6 at Veterans Park. Here's what you need to know.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — On Tuesday, Aug. 6, police departments across the U.S., including Huntersville, will be holding "National Night Out" community events aimed at strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
For nearly 40 years, National Night Out events have been held across the U.S. Last year, an estimated 38 million residents in 16,000 communities were expected to participate, according to the organization.
“As part of our planned events, we ask that area residents get to know one another by introducing yourself to your neighbors,” Huntersville Police Department said. “Consider planning your own neighborhood events, such as block parties, cookouts, porch sittings and events aimed at reducing crime and the fear of it.”
