HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Testing for novel coronavirus is expanding throughout North Carolina, and includes two locations in Huntersville, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

As of June 22, there were 166 confirmed cases in Huntersville and four COVID-19 deaths, according to DHHS data.

Last week, state public health officials said labs in North Carolina were processing nearly 17,000 tests a day on average, as testing for novel coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, expanded to more than 500 testing locations.

In Huntersville, COVID-19 is being conducted at the following locations:

  • Novant Health GoHealth Urgent Care - Huntersville, 9121 Sam Furr Road, Huntersville, 704-324-3590. Screening is required and restrictions apply. Antibody testing is also available at this location.
  • Novant Health Screening Center, 16525 Holly Crest Lane, Suite 120, Huntersville, 877-499-1697. Screening is required, as is a physician order.
