The Old Jail is the oldest municipal building in Huntersville. Here's when it will open to the public for tours.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The Old Jail — the oldest municipal building in Huntersville — will soon be open to the public, according to the Olde Huntersville Historic Society.

The building contains two cells in the middle of the room, and is representational of Huntersville in the 1930s, the society said. The restored jail, located at 301 Huntersville-Concord Road, has been under restoration for the past five years.

The GRAND OPENING will be during the Hello Huntersville Festival, May 5, 2:00-6:00pm. This year the festival is being held at Veteran’s Memorial Park, just 1/2 block from the jail,” the society said.
