Pedestrian Killed Along Statesville Road In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A pedestrian was struck and killed along Statesville Road in Huntersville overnight, according to reports.

The New Year’s Day accident occurred around 10 p.m. between Hunters Road and Gilead Road, shutting down traffic in both directions, Huntersville Police Department said.

HPD has not yet identified the victim or the driver.

“The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and this incident is still under investigation by the Huntersville Police Department Traffic Safety Section,” HPD said, according to the Charlotte Observer.
