Shooting In Huntersville Leaves 1 Dead, Another Injured: Report

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A shooting in a neighborhood near Blythe Elementary school has left one person dead and another injured Wednesday morning, according to a report.
Huntersville Police urged motorists to find a detour around the area of Hambright Road between Old Statesville Road and Bryton Corporate Center Parkway Wednesday morning due to police activity.
“Please avoid the area,” HPD said in a statement.

Fox 46 reported that the police activity was in response to a 10:30 a.m. shooting on Bryoton Pass Lane. One person was pronounced dead on the scene and another gunshot victim with life-threatening injuries was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main for treatment in Charlotte, the station said.
