Prescribed Burn At Cowan’s Ford Wildlife Refuge Planned Today
Fire officials will be conducted a prescribed burn at Cowan's Ford Wildlife Refuge and say area residents should expect smoke.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- A prescribed burn is scheduled for Cowan’s Ford Wildlife Refuge May 17, and will cause smoke in the area, according to Mecklenburg County Natural Resources.
Fire officials say the prescribed burn will start at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, and last for about two-three hours.
