Renovated Huntersville Library To Reopen Oct. 7

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The North County Regional Library, which closed for renovations in July, is set to reopen Monday, Oct. 7, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.

The library, which is located at 16500 Holly Crest Lane in Huntersville, will host a Fall Fest and Grand Re-Opening ribbon cutting event Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Library renovations included an addition of nearly 2,000 square feet for a total of 24,860 square feet and redesigned spaces for children and teens. The new space will now include a teen loft, a makerspace room, an expanded community room, group study rooms, collaborative spaces, a vending cafe, as well as a patio and terrace.

The library will also use a new radio frequency identification (RFID) checkout system and have a new exterior book/materials drop in the parking lot.
