School Bus Accident in Huntersville Sends One To Hospital
A car ended up under the rear of a school bus in Huntersville Wednesday morning. No kids were on the bus at the time of the accident.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- A car ended up under the back of a school bus in Huntersville Wednesday morning in an accident that sent one to the hospital, according to reports.
Firefighters from Huntersville Fire Department responded to the accident that occurred at Old Statesville Road and Stumptown Road, and worked to get the driver out of the Volvo.
No children were on the bus at the time of the accident, HFD said in a tweet. While no injuries were reported on the school bus, the driver was taken to Novant Hospital by paramedics. Most schools in the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas started back Aug. 28, which means commuters will be seeing more school buses on the road. In the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district alone has about 1,100 school buses and they log about 120,000 miles each school day.
