Spring-Like Temperatures On The Way For Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- It’s not May yet but it’s going to feel like it this week in the Lake Norman region, according to forecasters. Highs this week will reach the mid-70s. The unseasonably warm weather comes with a price, however. There’s a chance of rain every day this week.

Record temperatures could be felt across the southeast and east coast this week, from Charlotte, to Atlanta, Raleigh and Portland, Maine, according to Accuweather.

"The surge of springlike warmth Tuesday into Wednesday across the East will provide temperatures more akin to May rather than the end of February," AccuWeather Meteorologist Maggie Samuhel said.

Wednesday, for example, Charlotte could see a high of about 74 degrees. The record was s75 degrees on Feb. 21, 2011, according to Accuweather.
