Suspect Nabbed In Cornelius After Northcross Armed Robbery
An arrest was made after a victim was robbed at Northcross Shopping Center in Huntersville Sunday afternoon, police said.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — An armed robbery suspect was arrested and charged Sunday, following a heist in Northcross Shopping Center parking lot, according to Huntersville Police.
According to a police account, the victim was robbed Sunday afternoon in the shopping center located at Sam Furr Road and Highway 21.
After the robbery, the victim fled with the victim’s property in a car before responding officers arrived.

“HPD Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and his vehicle and immediately put the information out to other agencies,” HPD said. Within 10 minutes, the vehicle was located by Cornelius Police Department in their jurisdiction.
Hector Zeferino, 23, was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

“All of the victim’s property was located and returned,” HPD said.
