Suspect Wanted In Midday Burglary In Huntersville

Police say this man knocked at a Huntersville home to make sure no one was home before kicking in the back door.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Police in Huntersville are looking for a man they say kicked in the back door of a Hambright Road home and stole electronics and personal items earlier this week.

The brazen burglary happened shortly after 2:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in the 10000 block of Hambright Road, according to police. The suspect, who was photographed by a home security camera wearing a Best Buy employee shirt, first knocked on the front door of the home. A few minutes later, and after hearing no response, he walked to the back door and looked in the window.

“When the suspect noticed the camera at the rear door, he covered it up and then forced entry into the residence by kicking in the door,” Huntersville Police said.
