Suspects Charged With Stealing From Car In Huntersville Park: HPD
Police arrested the two fleeing suspects after their car crashed and they ran from officers on foot, Huntersville Police said.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville Police arrested and charged two suspects wanted in a larceny from a vehicle case in North Meck Park over the weekend after tips from witnesses led officers to located the pair who had fled from the scene, police said Monday.
According to Huntersville Police Department, the suspects left the park located at 16131 Old Statesville Road before officers responded to the reported incident Feb. 2.
A short distance away from the park, however, their vehicle crashed, HPD said. They then ran from the accident scene on foot.

“After receiving information from multiple witnesses, officers were able to locate the suspects nearby and they were taken into custody without incident,” HPD said.
Leonardo Cameron, 24, and Jonathan Gabriel, 25, were charged with felony break or enter a motor vehicle.
