Week Ahead Forecast: When Huntersville Can Expect Snow, Rain

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Weekend rains are set to continue Monday, and the soggy start to the work week could also include snow Monday for the Charlotte-metro region, according to National Weather Service forecasters.

The forecast from the weather service shows rain showers transitioning to snow showers around midday Monday, with periods of patchy fog leading into the afternoon. However, little to no accumulation is expected, NWS said.

Rain showers are expected to clear out by Tuesday, which will see a high of 51 degrees. The rest of the work week should stay mostly clear and sunny, as temperatures steadily increase by the weekend. By next Sunday, temperatures will be up to 68 degrees, according to forecasters.

Rain showers before 11am, then rain and snow showers. Patchy fog before 2pm, then patchy fog after 4pm. High near 41. North wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 33. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunny, with a high near 51. West northwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
